The Iris System is built on a series of parallel vertical profiles that allow for easy placement of double-notched bricks, preventing them from being removed once positioned. This modular system is constructed with bricks that are simply placed by turning them, without the need for mortar.

A thousand-year-old architectural resource designed for the future _
The latticework protects privacy without sacrificing light or ventilation, making energy efficiency more controllable through light incidence, with light and elegant finishes on the envelopes.
he Iris System for installing ceramic lattices consists of four groups of elements that work together.
The kit includes high-quality ceramic pieces, manufactured by pressing in various sizes and available in a wide range of colours and finishes. It incorporates a modulation system that ensures correct installation, with components such as plates, spacers, vertical profiles and separators for thermal expansion, all available in different finishes and levels of protection.
A retention system keeps the profiles in place and absorbs the forces acting on the façade. To complete the installation, complementary elements are added, such as side closures and aluminium levelling supplements.
System variations
Like the sheet metal used in traditional brick factories, Iris allows for the installation of enclosures confined between two floor slabs. In this construction variant, the retaining fixings of the through façade are eliminated and the horizontal thrusts are absorbed by the spacer plates at the bottom and top.
This is a self-supporting façade which, using spacer starter plates, starts from a flat structural base onto which the entire weight of the façade panel is transferred. This solution uses fixings that absorb horizontal forces and are anchored, at each floor level, to the building's load-bearing structure.
Attached to the building structure responsible for supporting all loads, this is a prefabricated solution consisting of complete panels, where the ceramic pieces are confined within a perimeter frame that allows them to be mounted on a rail system (to be defined by the D.F.), for use in a fixed or sliding manner to filter sunlight.
